MV Veafjord
A modern passenger boat for small parties, the Veafjord operates excursions to the inner reaches of the Osterfjord, starting from Stanghelle beside the E16 or from Stamnes pier on trunk road 569. Transport for larger parties to/from Kvamsnaustet restaurant (about 10 min from Stamnes pier). Sightseeing trips to the inner Osterfjord with guided tours of the salmon traps, Skipshelleren (Stone Age site) and Hesjedalsfossen waterfall. The vessel is fitted with an underwater camera to allow passengers to study the fjord bed. Fishing trips etc. by request.
Kvamsnaustet
Restaurant in the former boathouse at Kvamme, a farm on the Veafjord with no road access. Ideal for mystery tours, group/company outings, weddings, etc. Course and conference facilities. Licensed to serve beer and wine. Dancing and accordion music if required.
