Choose from the following motoring itineraries with suggestions for walks in the Osterfjord district:
Osterfjorden:
Start from Bergen and drive around the Osterfjord.
Walking itineraries on sale:
- Hestabotn–Slottet: An unusual rock formation about 2 km from Mo on trunk road 569. From the mountain plateau there is a fantastic view down to the narrow Mostraumen estuary and up the fjord to Mo village.
- Mo village: The Mo valley takes its name from the farm and church at Mo. Mo has been the ecclesiastical centre of the area since the Middle Ages.
- Heimdal–Stølsheimen: Steinsland is the gateway to the Stølsheimen mountains.
Osterøy:
The cultivated island amid the fjords of western Norway.
Walking itineraries on sale:
- Mountain farms on Osterøy: The mountains between Havrådalen, Brøknipa, Njåstad and Hovden are like one large shieling (mountain pasture). 29 manor farms comprising well over 100 smallholdings used to own or rent shielings in this area.

Bergsdalen:
The old road between Voss and Bergen provides a pleasant alternative to driving through long tunnels on the main road.

- Småbrekke–Moastølen: A wonderful walk through pretty agricultural countryside with farms and shielings amid magnificent mountains.
Eksingedalen - Teigdalen:
A drive through mountainous glens and a fertile river valley.
Walking itineraries on sale:
- Straume: Museum of local cultural history and Skipshelleren, the oldest dwelling place of its size in inland Norway (Stone Age).
